Build the sides of the bench

Add pocket holes to the boards that will be used for the sides of the bench.

Build the TOP & BOTTOM Bench pieces

Join the two boards together with the middle pocket holes using 2 1/2″ Kreg screws and wood glue.

Join your bottom bench piece (pocket hole side facing down) into your two side pieces with Kreg screws and wood glue.

Attach the bench top to the bench sides

Join your top bench piece into your two side pieces with Kreg screws and wood glue.

Line up your cubby divider at the center. Use wood screws and drill through the top of the bench piece to secure the cubby divider into place.

Center your bench top seat piece on top of your bench frame. Attach the seat to the bench frame using three wood screws on each side of the bench top seat.

Build DIY Hall tree frame

Attach the frame pieces together using Kreg screws and wood glue.

Line up your tree hall frame with your bench and attach it. Clamp the backing plywood board to the hall tree frame & attach.

add shelf & corbels to the front of the hall tree

Finally, attach your wood corbels & then attach your shelf on top of the wood corbels using brad nails and a brad nailer.

Now that your hall tree is all built, paint or stain the entryway hall tree bench and then add the coat hooks.
