Sharing how to transform a basic entryway into a welcoming, stylish, and functional entryway!

Our entryway was a very basic space and lacked any functionality. Here is a before photo:

Since the entryway is the first space you see when you walk into our home, I really wanted to elevate the look, but still make it feel cozy and welcoming! I also wanted to make it more functional by adding some seating and other useful pieces.
Here is the AFTER!
And here are all the details on how we transformed a basic entryway into a welcoming, stylish, and functional entryway…
Color Drenching with Paint
To freshen the space and help set the mood for the decor I choose, we color drenched it in a warm, gray paint on the ceiling, walls, trim, and doors! This was the first step to adding style.

DECOR DAYS IS HERE!
Now for the fun part, the decor! I was able to find everything that I needed from The Home Depot on sale for their Decor Days! There are so many great home decor products on sale up to 50% off right now through 10/7!
Ordering online from The Home Depot was super convenient, with free shipping on orders over $45, I was able to get everything delivered right to my front door. But, you can also choose free store pick up too if you prefer.
I was really impressed with everything I bought and that it’s all 50% off right now! There are a lot of home decor and furniture products on sale that you would not think that the Home Depot carries online but they do and I can’t wait to share what I found for our entryway makeover!
Let’s start with one of my favorites!
Arched Antiqued Classic Accent Mirror
I am obsessed with this arched, antiqued, classic accent mirror.
The beaded detail on it is just beautiful and I love the classic charm of it which really elevates the look and style of our entryway.
An entryway is the perfect space for a classy mirror that’s a bit fancy! Plus, every entryway can use a mirror in it! It’s so nice to be able to check your outfit or hair before leaving the house or walking out the door.
Our kids love to just make silly faces in front of it too!
Woven Wood Bench
We really needed a bench in our entryway so there was a place to sit and put shoes on and take them off.
I found this wood entryway bench with a woven seagrass top and it was perfect!
The red color is beautiful, but it didn’t quite work with my color palette and design for the makeover, so we painted the wooden bench white.
I love the style and high quality of it. The lower shelf is also great for storing everyday shoes that we wear.
It actually does come in white and black too, but the red color is on sale!
Olive Tree and Seagrass Baskets
To make the space feel more welcoming and lively, I added this faux olive tree. I placed it in this seagrass basket that’s the perfect size and shape for it!
The basket comes as a set of two baskets, so I used the larger basket for extra storage next to the bench!
Matted Gallery Wall Picture Frame Set
For the final wall decor, I found this gallery wall picture frame set.
I love the white matte that comes with it. I think every space can benefit from black decor accents.
The gallery wall set is perfect for displaying seasonal art prints like these fall foliage prints I added to them for the autumn season.
I love that we were able to create a beautiful and welcoming entryway that is also functional by choosing the right decor and furniture pieces! What do you think?!
