We brought our patio to life with a simple, quick, and easy garden project this past week!

We hung a vinyl lattice trellis on our vinyl siding and planted flowers in a large planter box beneath it!

The lattice trellis we used was super easy to assemble.

The planter box has a stone-look finish to it, but it’s lightweight! It comes in different sizes too!

To hang the lattice trellis, we attached D-ring hooks onto the existing screw holes on the back of the trellis, and using the same screws that came with the trellis.

Then, we hung the hooks onto these vinyl siding hooks that just slip onto your siding. It was super easy!

What we planted in our planter box and on our trellis

Originally I was planning to use a New Dawn climbing rose for the trellis, but the deer ate it the night before I went to plant everything. Those pesky deer!

So, instead, I planted climbing star jasmine which smells delightful right now in bloom! It’s a fast grower too and it thrives here in Charleston. So, it should fill the trellis out by next spring.

In the planter box, we planted Bacopa, Vinca, Lobella, and Angelonia.
