Where to buy kitchen cabinet hardware
When I want the best selection of high quality, kitchen hardware with great price options, Wayfair is the best place to buy kitchen cabinet hardware! They have all different styles of hardware and they have most styles in multiple finish options, including my favorite finish, brass!
Kitchen cabinet hardware for our kitchen
For our current kitchen makeover, I have found my kitchen pulls and two different cabinet knob options that I am trying to decide between at Wayfair!
I found these beautiful, high quality cup drawer pulls. I love the classic look of a pull. These cup/bin pulls are the perfect classic style and they are a very budget friendly price too for the quality and style!
For the cabinet knobs on the cabinet doors, I am trying to decide between the classic, mushroom style knob or this chic, ball knob. Which one is your favorite?
I love that the honey bronze color of these match the pulls! It’s really the perfect brass hardware color and looks very high end.
How to Pick Kitchen Cabinet Hardware
1. Cabinet hardware style and color
One of the most important things to consider when picking cabinet hardware is the style you want for your kitchen design which is very much a personal preference.
After all, cabinet hardware is called the jewelry of the kitchen for a reason!
Are you going for timeless and classic, modern, farmhouse, contemporary, etc? The style hardware you choose can really set the look and mood of the kitchen. No matter what style you are going for, Wayfair has every possible style and type of hardware you could want!
Further, what finish do you want to use? It’s important that the hardware finish compliments the paint or stain color of your cabinets and other finishes in the space like light fixtures, countertops, backsplash tile, the kitchen faucet, etc.
I am going for a more classic and charming feel, so that is why I went with a classic cup pull and either mushroom or ball knob (with a little charming detail on each) in brass.
Wayfair has several color options for each hardware style, including oil-rubbed bronze, antique brass, polished brass, unlacquered brass, polished nickel, chrome, and more!
2. Consider the use and function of the hardware
It’s important to choose the right hardware for the function that it will serve.
If a cabinet or drawer is used often, it’s best to go with a knob or pull for easy and quick opening.
However, if some cabinets aren’t used as often, such as upper cabinets or cabinets with glass doors (that are more for display), consider using cabinet latches! It adds more visual interest and detail.
Wayfair has a great selection of cabinet latches! Here are some favorites I found:
Finally, if there is anything that bothers you about your current kitchen hardware, make sure to address that when picking new hardware.
For example, my husband is always catching the pockets on his pants on our drawer knobs, so that is why switching to cabinet pulls for the drawers was important for us!
3. Size and scale
An important step for how to choose hardware for kitchen cabinets is reviewing the size and scale of the hardware.
Personally, I like a larger scale knob, so I am leaning towards the mushroom knobs since they are 1 1/4″ wide whereas the round knobs are only 1″ wide.
Another consideration is drawer size. For example, on a longer drawer, such as 24″ or wider, it looks off scale to just use one knob or pull. It’s a good rule of thumb to use two knobs or pulls for the right scale and look on larger drawers.
You can also use longer pulls, such as a 4 inch or 5 inch pull instead of 2 or 3 inch pull, depending on the look and size you want! I love that Wayfair has so many styles in different sizes, so I can find what works best for my space!
Also, if your appliances have the option to change out the hardware, make sure to use an appliance pull that’s the right size!
4. Order hardware options to try
If you are having trouble finalizing your hardware decision, I think it’s important to order at least two different options to test out on your actual cabinets (or at least hold next to your cabinets). This way you can see how the scale, styles, and colors of the cabinets and hardware all look together.
That’s what I did to help me make a final decision on my hardware selection!
With the steps and hardware options above, how to choose kitchen cabinet hardware should be much easier!

Thanks for all of the tips! I love the look of the cup handles, but found that they can get a buildup of crud up inside. Just have to keep them wiped out on a regular basis.
