I’m sharing Easter basket ideas for toddlers and baby Easter basket ideas! Although some of these Easter basket filler ideas can also be used for kids too that are passed the toddler stage!
I love putting Easter baskets together, I get so excited about it and it brings me a lot of joy! As much as I love Christmas (my fav holiday), I like creating Easter baskets even more than Christmas shopping and stockings!
Maybe it’s because I just love springtime and Easter baskets are way less stressful and so much fun! Plus, my boys and I love cute little bunnies, chicks, Easter egg hunts, flowers, carrot cake, Easter brunch, and all of the fun Easter activities!
This is the first year I am sharing our Easter basket ideas! I posted a poll on Instagram and an overwhelmingly large percentage wanted to see what I am filling our baskets with, so I am excited to share!
I will also include a few ideas that I have used for past Easter baskets for Jackson, our toddler, that were a big hit and he loved the most!
Overall, I love to mix in both ideas that are pure fun as well as fun AND practical (but still cute of course)! If it’s spring themed, even better!

Easter Basket Ideas for Boys and Girls
Although we have two little boys, a 3 year old and a 9 month old, many of these ideas are gender neutral. Or if they are boy themed, I will also share the girl version of the idea too!
Non Candy Ideas for Easter Baskets
As much as our toddler loves candy, we really try to minimize the amount he gets in his basket because he will try to eat it all at once and we all know how kids and sugar goes! So, most of the ideas below are non candy ideas for Easter baskets.
Easter Baskets and Liners
I bought these wicker baskets and matching, personalized gingham liners. There were so many other cute liner options but I liked how classic these were.
Also, I went with the small size for our little ones! I figured we could always upgrade in a few years to the larger size.
But, honestly, the small size is perfect for all of the filler items we have and the baskets look nice and full. If I had bought the larger size I probably would have needed to buy more items.
Note, they do look like two different sizes from a height perspective, but it’s just because I bought them at different times. The actual basket opening is the same size on each.
Toddler Easter Basket Ideas
- Jellycat Bunny – I love the Jellycat stuffed animals, they are great quality and so cute. We bought Jackson this bunny two Easters ago. It’s his favorite stuffed animal ever and Bunny has gone everywhere, including the washer, many times. He’s lasted through it all with no holes or issues!
- Bunny pancake skillet set – I can’t wait to try this out Easter morning. We LOVE bunnies (and pancakes too), so hoping this is a good one!
- Water Wow Coloring Pads – These were a hit with Jackson for Christmas, so I bought this spring/summer version. We also have the farm version which he loves.
- Magnetic Blocks (small set) – Another all time favorite play activity that Jackson uses daily. I bought this small set to add to his big collection. The box is a bit big for his basket, so I took them out and they look cute stacked as basket fillers.
- Build Your Own Cupcake Sticker Book – Can’t go wrong with a sticker activity!
- Bubbles – Everyone loves bubbles! These Easter bubbles are perfect for a school Easter gift or just smaller bubbles.
- Pineapple Bubble machine – For another Easter, this bubble machine was a favorite!
- Bunny Pop Fidget – One of those small, random toys that provides lot of entertainment!
- Easter/spring pajamas – I bought the bunny pajamas. Of course I bought a matching set for our 9 month old too – linked under the baby section below. They are so adorable, I gave these to the boys early to enjoy through the spring! Jackson loved the bunny pj’s so much he didn’t want to take them off!
- Cute hat – Every year I buy one of these hats for Jackson, it’s perfect for the warmer months. They are adorable, inexpensive, come in fun colors, and easy to wash! I also bought this spring plaid watercolors version for my niece!
- Paw Patrol Easter book – if your toddler loves Paw Patrol as much as mine!
- Bunny bait – this has some candy in it, but it’s a cute Easter trail mix! You could also make this yourself!
- Hippity Hop cookie cutter set – If your toddler likes baking as much as mine does
Baby Easter basket ideas
A lot of the ideas above can also be used for babies! Here are some more specific baby Easter basket ideas:
- Bunny Security Blanket or Lovie – The Jellycat bunny version, perfect lovie for a baby! It’s adorable.
- Natural Bath Toy/teether/rattle (puppy) – I love these bath toys, they are the best and worth the cost! They are super cute, all natural, and they don’t have any holes in the bottom like most bath toys. So, they never get moldy inside. They also jingle too or can be a teether! We have the turtle and dolphin already. I almost bought the baby chick (similar here) too!
- Bubbles – To blow bubbles for baby to enjoy
- Pajamas – matching spring/easter bunny pajamas
- Cute hat – Brayden will be getting Jackson’s old hat in the infant size lol! They have held up well! Now they can match too!
- Carrot teether – Perfect for Easter/spring
- Honey Bunny book – one of our favorite books of all time
- Spring sunshine bodysuit set – Old Navy has the cutest toddler and baby shirts this spring, I am loving all of the patterns! I also bought the bunny versions too in the baby and toddler sizes!
- Baby bear socks – These are the best baby socks, they don’t fall off or cause really deep ankle marks like other baby socks can. Available in blue and pink colors.
Inside of the Easter eggs
A few ideas for inside of the plastic easter eggs or the larger plastic eggs (besides candy):
- stickers
- wind up chicks
- little toy cars or hair ties/bows (for girls)
- fruit snacks
- Easter egg chalk
- Mini bubbles
Easter Bunny Feet Decals
Two years ago I put these Easter Bunny Feet Decal Stickers out leading from the front door to Jackson’s Easter basket. He loved it! I am going to put them out again this year!
They are very sticky though, so it helps to stick them to something first (like an old towel) to make them stick less on the floor, if you know what I mean!
I hope this was helpful! What are your favorite Easter basket ideas for little ones?
