Faux cedar trees are the perfect easy porch and patio decor for the fall, winter, or anytime of the year!
I’ve been all about the easiest decor for our porch and patio lately! Last week I shared our super easy fall front porch decor that took less than 5 minutes to set up.
For the fall and winter months, I wanted some greenery by our back patio door that would look nice and be zero maintenance.

I’m excited to share today about our super easy patio decor that I created using faux cedar trees.
Although these are perfect for the fall and winter, they really are great for anytime of the year because you can’t go wrong with a cedar shrub. It’s a classic garden look!
I bought the 4 foot set of two cedar trees and I “planted” them in these gorgeous, budget friendly outdoor planters.
It was super easy and I love the final look!
They would also look great in my favorite amazon outdoor planters too!
I did have to add a small 2×2 wood block under the trees so they would sit at the perfect height in the planters, but otherwise the height of the 4 foot trees looked great with the planters!
Eventually, I would like to add wood chips to the outdoor planters to make them look even more realistic.
The faux cedar trees did take some time to fluff the branches, the same thing you have to do when you buy a new artificial Christmas tree that comes in a box. But, it was worth it!
I just focused on making the front and sides of trees look the best and fullest, while the back side I just ignored.
How cute would these look with Christmas lights on them for the holidays too?! My son literally asked if they were Christmas trees lol!
